| DanceCollective is our professional grade 2,000 sq. ft. dance studio. The surface of the dance floor is bamboo, imported from China. Known for its flexibility and incredible durability, bamboo makes the ideal surface for a variety of dance disciplines. Under the floor, however, is the real difference. Four layers of floating floors were constructed to provide the cushion necessary to reduce impact.
DanceCollective is home to some of the finest performers and teachers in the Hudson Valley. We offer classes for dancers at all stages, and in every discipline, including Hip Hop, Jazz, Tap, Ballet, Salsa, Bellydancing, African Dance, and more. Some of our dance students will be the first to participate in the development of the Next Stage School of the Arts, a specialized performing arts high school. They headlined the 11th annual Dancefest a few months ago. Hip Hop Dance Teams are forming, representing six area High Schools to be trained to compete in a regional competition between schools in June. Registration is ongoing.
