| BSP is an Arts and Entertainment Complex located in the center of Uptown Kingston, New York, at 323 Wall Street. Built as a Vaudeville Theater in the late 1800s, it spans the entire block from Wall Street to Crown Street, and has a rich and colorful history of its own. BSP has quickly become a venue for top quality, ever-evolving activities.
The complex is being built in three phases. Phase one is now complete and includes danceCOLLECTIVE, WALLspace, Woodstock Youth Theater, Leela Puppet Theater, and a mini theater for 600, created in the room that will be Stage of The Arts. Phase 2 has just begun and focuses on the Crown Street side of the facility. The schedule includes the completion of Backstage Studios. Next Stage Academy, our High School of Performing Arts and Continuing Education will also be built during Phase 2. The third and final Phase will complete Stage of the Arts, the old vaudeville theater. The North wall will be knocked out and a new stage and fly space will be erected there. Four configurations of moveable seating will allow multiple events to occur simultaneously. When totally open, the venue, including balconies and standing room will host up to 3000 people.
